Lynne began working in marketing and promotions by helping her mother with the family-owned dance studio and gets her hands on new technology when her stepfather, and electronics technician, teaches her how to solder solid state electronic circuitry, build a radio on a breadboard, and play text-based “adventure” games on a Teletype terminal.
Lynne graduated a year early from high school (later to find out that her GPA of 4.823/5.000 ranked her 12th in her class – in the top 3% – when everyone else finished high school) and tests into the highest level math class open to freshmen (Advanced Calculus) at Arizona State University. She moves from rural Illinois to Arizona to begin coursework for a Computer Science Engineering degree.
A core class in CSE (assembly language) gets the better of Lynne and she changes her major to Business. She puts herself through school by working 30+ hours a week and with the help of government financial aid, completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from ASU.
